January in Naples...Dealers From Around the Country

You never know what might happen at the Naples Doll Show! There is always....

lots of juicy gossip,

lots of great dolls,

the occasional proposal?!!...

At Florida's most anticipated annual doll show, you will find the finest antique and collectible doll dealers from around North America. Everyone loves Naples in January! After the snow and cold of the northern shows, January in Naples is a treat. The first show of the new year and the dealers bring out their best merchandise for the collectors in South Florida. Whether you collect modern dolls, artist originals, antique dolls or play dolls they will be represented at the 2011 show.

Val Starr, of the Naples Doll Club, will once again do doll appraisals for a nominal fee of $5 per doll, proceeds to go to local children's charities.

South Florida parties have been mentioned and compared to those internationally. Some of the clubs in South florida clubs are know worldwide!

A Little History

Naples Doll Club is part of the United Federation of Doll Clubs, Inc., an International non-profit organization of doll collectors. The club has been in existence for more tha The n 25 years. It is a unique club made up of Florida residents and Snowbirds.
During the winter season the approximately 50-member club meets twice a month for study and projects. Women from all walks of life belong to this club, sharing their common bond - the love of dolls.
The major project every year is the Naples Doll Show. The show is the largest show in the south-eastern States, attended by collectors and dealers from all over North America and Europe. It is through this fund raiser that the club is able to support local charities concerned with the well-being and education particularly of women, children and immigrant groups.
The Napes Doll Club’s collecting interests are as eclectic as their membership. From Civil War china dolls and Victorian bisque ladies to American character and celebrity composition dolls, European cloth dolls and fashion dolls of the 50s, the membership enjoys the study of social history, fashion, textiles and childhood traditions.
